Barangay Kanlurang Palale is a secluded community located near the mountains of Tayabas City, Quezon Province. It is divided into seven (7) sub-communities or “purok” with 45 households. The main source of income of the residents here is farming and selling household items, such as mugs, buckets, basins, and kitchen utensils.
For the past 20 years, the residents have been enduring a rough and rocky road. Especially during the rainy season, accessing the road is more challenging because it can become muddy and slippery. Recently, the LGU of Tayabas City began this initiative to pave the pathways leading to Purok 2, Purok 3, Purok 5, Purok 6, and Purok 7. However, the road to Purok 1 and Purok 4 has been put on hold due to insufficient funding. These remaining two areas are steep and relatively remote compared to the other communities, which is why this road development will be an important milestone for the residents who have endured challenges in getting in and out of their communities for 20 years.
Through this fundraising project, the residents of Purok 1 and Purok 4 are hoping that they will also be on paved pathways to ease their everyday struggle to travel to and from their barangay. The construction of the road for these two communities will cost Php 59,142.00. Help us and be their source of hope by raising funds for the residents of Kanlurang Palale for their pathway construction.
