Help the children of Barangay San Macario in Delfin Albano, Isabela, combat malnutrition and acquire the proper nourishment to enable them to keep a healthy body and grow strong.
Barangay San Macario is a small barangay located in Delfin Albano, Isabela. It is the municipality's gateway and a 15-minute drive to the market. Families in this barangay make a living by farming palay and corn. Poverty is rampant, and children suffer from a lack of food. The nutrients that a child needs are not given to every child, resulting in malnutrition and sickness.
Families make the best of the limited resources, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic's recent spike. Everyone's tenacity demonstrates how strong the Filipino family is. However, it falls short. Aside from the meals on the table, children require additional sustenance and should eat what their bodies need to grow.
Despite being a small barangay, San Macario has a considerable number of children. The prevalence of pregnancies increased with time as a result of the barangay's lack of sex education and family planning. Because of poverty and a lack of food, there are an indisputable number of malnourished children in Barangay San Macario.
This initiative intends to provide a nutritious meal to the children of Barangay San Macario to reduce the number of children at risk of diseases caused by malnutrition. This project will significantly reduce the number of malnourished children in the community.
