GK Malabog is located in Davao City's Paquibato District, in barangay Malabog. From Davao City proper, it is 48 kilometers away. The community is easily accessible because the road is paved and well-maintained.
GK Malabog is a GK community without GK houses. In 2010, they were established as a Gawad Kalinga community because the neighborhood actively participates in GK events like the CYD Program, Values Formation, and Bayan-Anihan.
Cacao farming is the villagers' primary source of income. They are one of Theo and Philo Artisan Chocolates' cacao suppliers. Because of their dedication and hard work, they were able to purchase land and construct a post-harvest facility. However, due to a lack of funding, they used recycled iron and wood from their temporary facility to build the post-harvest facility. They are also looking for perforated iron bars because they do not have enough finances to meet the facility's requirements. As a result, they make a meager living because when it rains, the facility's roof leaks, contaminating and spoiling the cocoa beans, where a large portion of their harvest is squandered or rejected.
The cacao farmers are looking for financial aid to replace the roof over their post-harvest facility so they can guarantee the cacao seeds they harvest are of high quality and sold for a fair price. It will be a tremendous help for the farmers to earn adequate money for their hard work.
Aid the farmers in rebuilding their post-harvest facility to secure the quality of their harvested cacao. Support us as we build a more productive farming community and improve farmers' lives.

When an act of kindness multiplies, it helps more people. Everyone can help, no matter how small or big. As long as it comes from the heart, we can persuade more people to help. Financial scarcity is not an obstacle to helping those who are in need.
