Barangay Tubingco, Davao City has always shown solidarity in ensuring that the vulnerable members fo their community are well taken care of. One of their ways to do so is a regular community-feeding program where more than 600 families have been provided with healthier meals through their community kitchen.
However, it hasn’t been easy for kitchen volunteers to run the program daily because of their lack of resources, specifically their kitchen equipment. They would normally have to rent out items such as the cauldron for PHP 50.00 just to be able to conduct their kitchen activities. Because of the limitations resulting from this system, the community would like to raise funds in order to procure their own kitchen materials for permanent use. Instead of using their budget for renting the equipment, they would rather use to to purchase more ingredients for their food to reach more beneficiaries.
The total amount they intend to raise is PHP 15,000. This will be used to purchase the following equipment:
- Large-sized Calderio;
- Medium-sized Kawa;
- Several Laddles;
- Large-sized basins (palanggana);
- Several Chopping boards;
- Metal Utensils;
- Plastic Bowls;
- Water Jugs;
- Measuring Utensils; and etc.
