Capitan Bayong is a barangay located in the Municipality of Impasugong, Bukidnon. Nestled in the middle of beautiful mountains, the largest communal ranch in Bukidnon can be found here creating the community’s tagline “The finest cowboys live here!” They are also known to be the tribal capital of Bukidnon. It has plenty of tourist attractions such as caves, falls, mountain ranges, and rivers. Its natural beauty is recognized by many and has even become known to be an area for movie shootings.
While this barangay is rich in beautiful sceneries, they continuously work together as one community in ensuring that their residents are well-taken care of. Most of the community’s income source is from pineapple-picking, banana plantations, and other forms of farming.
One of their more urgent needs at the moment, as recommended by their Barangy Council and Local School Board, is a facility for their barangay library. They have recently received used books from various donors and have transformed their wast segregation facility into a makeshift library to accommodate these donations. However, this is just temporary as the local health department has already called them out regarding this matter.
Thus, the members of Barangay Capitan Bayong would like to raise funds in order to be able to build a facility that can house their barangay library. They would like to build a place where 400 students from the local elementary school and 300 students from the local high school can enjoy learning and reading books. The total amount needed for this project is PHP 279,685.00 to purchase construction materials, while residents contribute to this project through providing labor work.
